Split Soul Alchemist
*Edit: So sorry guys everything broke once I converted GML to HTML5 (Javascript). I have no idea how to fix it yet, but trying my best to fix it XD. Found out that Gamemaker's mouse checks are buggy so changed it to shift click....
*Edit Edit.... So sorry guys, I did not read that I can't delete or upload during game jam and deleted.... so sorry no game XD XD XD
This is my submission to Pirate Software's game jam. I am a completely new, never done this before dev, that was crazy enough to try everything solo. In addition, I accidently deleted all my objects half way through XD XD. Please enjoy my effort and the results of my learning journey.
I apologise for the text and gui content being skew.... They went wonky after turning it into an html5 build and I did not have enough time before submission to fix them.

As far as I could tell. Gamemakers HTML5 mouse checks are buggy. So I changed the aim to shift hold. I am not sure how to fix collision yet. If anybody knows about these bugs please give me a shout.
Thanks for the kind words. It seems everything broke after I changed the output code from GML to HTML5 (Javascript). I have been racking my brain how to fix all of it but have not found a solution yet. So sorry for the buggy experience.
First of all, congrats on your first game! It's a small step in your journey, but it's one of the most important!
I liked the mirroring mechanic, and the different worlds, forcing the player to navigate two characters at once! It reminded me a lot of Fireboy and Watergirl!
The potion throwing mechanic seems a bit buggy, as others have said, being unable to throw the bottle, or damage the spider?
But overall, I like the art style and the movement! You did a great job! Keep on making!
I couldn't get onto it how throwing bottle works. I've tried an I saw dots but it doesn't want to fly and just goes straight to the ground.
Cool minimalistic style and background music is really enjoyable. I wish you to explore more of the concept of split soul. Keep on going :)
